a lot, there aren't that many alternatives that can do what plastic wrap does, i don't use a lot of it and it's harder to store things long-term and same question applies for the freezer, it's easier to put things in a freezer bag. >> so, a little tip for that is i do admit to using plastic bags, i reuse them and if something is not -- i don't use them for liquids and if something isn't somehow already kind of like a solid or whatever, parchment paper around that and then use the plastic just as the thing that keeps it from leak-proof or if i'm taking soup to work, i have my soup in a glass jar but i will throw it in plastic because i don't want it all over my backpack and there's also more stainless steel options which are a little more expensive but that's a one-time investment, just don't lose it, so a box of plastic bags, it lasts me like three year, parchment paper, it's the layer that touches your food and then aluminum foil isn't really bad, but parchment paper is a good thing. >> plastics in kids toys and kids products, they're not really labeled, i don't find the same symbo

with people like us, there's about 10 of us. i've been dealing with it 2-1/2 years and i've talked with numerous tenants from the war field. * many of them no longer come to the collaborative because they've left the building because they can't get their needs met. habitability as you heard is increasingly a problem. in june i saw a tenant who is here today, arthur gray, who came in and wanted to get a life line telephone. so, we provide low-income telephone services for tenants. and most hotels in the area have a phone jack in the rooms. arthur's room didn't have a phone jack. typically what we do is write a letter requesting that a phone jack be installed with ample time. this was in june. arthur doesn't have a phone jack in his room so he doesn't have a right to contact a doctor. he can't call 911 if he has a crisis. and with numerous visits -- i think i've been there three or four times, i've twice been denied access to the building and twice the manager told me that, yes, at&t is on the way and they'll be here today or tomo

i reported last month that webcor had developed two tracking reports that we have now been using over the last four months as both a means of reporting, but also feedback to the operators and the contractors, so that in realtime they can make the adjustments necessary in the number of apprentices that they have on-site. the two reporting mechanisms for all crafts to achieve a 1:5 or 1:6 ratio of all workers, as apprentices. and you can see now that the crafts are achieving that and that is based on total hours worked. and then for operating engineers and for laborers, it's on a daily basis that we want to have a 1:4 ratio of apprentices to journeymen laborers. you can see there at the last few months, we have finally reached that point where those red lines representing the apprentices in the field are exceeding the apprenticeship targets. so these tools that were developed have given us the ability to really monitor the payroll on a daily basis and make the adjustments necessary to make sure that we're having as many apprentices in the field as possible. that concludes my report on t

in to us as well, which we block. but there's a town, marshaltown, iowa, that recently did a not in our town, not in our community, article on this topic. the newspaper editor was tired of all those negative comments that come in to the newspaper because you see them under the article. at the same time in sioux falls, a town close to them, that had a suicide and the whole community came together to take a positive approach and that kind of combines the two things, looking at how we treat each other online as well as how we treat each other on the community. you can go to our wepb site and see the progression as the whole community came together, the school district, the city, the library and they all worked together saying this isn't what we want in our town and they are being very proactive. another thing is we work with students and they came up with a positive campaign on facebook that they did, we have a little film on cyber bullying where some students in new jersey came together and they called it a virtual hug.

and the pac aappreciates being included in important, key decisions that are being used to affect so many students. and over the years, student nutrition has been one of the areas for pac. so we were super pleased to be able to be there in the evaluation process. i just have to share that my daughter, i pack everyday lunches for my children. they do not like school lunches and i wanted to share i was going to be on the panel. and they were super excited and this morning my daughter said i want a lunch. well, you said that the lunches were going to be better next year. so i'm going to see next year, mom. and maybe i will get school lunches. so for me, that makes me happy, because she is actually listening to what i am saying.
